@Black Knight Rebel: PS3 really needs a trigger guard. I can't set the controller down for a moment without blowing myself up or something.

Are there any direct file share programs? IM is slow, FTP in insecure (locked archives would work though), SSH is a pain to get other people to understand, and web solutions require a middle man.

@OMG! British Dinosaur!: Dialing an 800 number to bypass the mic mute? My local phones have both pre and post call mutes, once the lines are disconnected the mutes gets enabled again :P

I love learning about phreaking and old hacking techniques. It all sounds so awesome and underground. I wish I could phreak in my area (damn mutes), I don't have a cell phone :P

@Cintax: We know what it is not but not specifically how it started. That's what 5million people are asking in the comments. Dear pesky commenters: shut up and let the scientists do their thing!

@neverbeenback: yeah, I get it. I got it the first time. The labeling system would say something along the lines of "2 cores @ 1.2GHz = 2.4GHz theoretical total. Price per GHz = x"

This would be totally sweet if they charged for it. The government would be much less likely to charge corporate rates. Excess money would either go back into the program or towards other parts of government.

This reminds me of the IR goggles that I was reading about. They're actually just visible-light filters on goggles, but when eyes lack visible light they can see into a small portion of the infra-red spectrum.

@Fractal the Meek: I'm expecting new tablets to be based on Android, which would be best on a tablet, but I hope that a few of them get drivers for a standard Linux distro as well. Dual-booting would be perfect.

Cool. Now will the final one not suck or have fatal faults like all the other Android tablets? I want a nice powerful ARM processor running some sort of Linux.

@neverbeenback: Well any grading would have to take multiple cores into account. I only said "cost per Ghz" as an example.

@Sean Reynolds: It's a very sound theory, there is a ton of evidence to back it up and the theory is still being worked on. Scientists get an idea, test it, refine it, and ditch it if it doesn't make sense.

@Theologica: I wouldn't be surprised if the universe went in cycles of big bangs, constantly expanding and collapsing on itself.

Oooookaaay .....

This is 100% pure awesome. Why does it require $25,000 to start the project?
