My wife doesn't think I'm a misogynist, so that issue is settled.

If he were alive today people (Fox News) would complain that he was trying to be a celebrity and making jokes is not something that people like Ronald Reagan or MLK would do when they teamed up to defeat communist slavery.
Shhh. Go back to watching Fox
Stirge is an asshole and racist, if his comment history is any indication. It's apparent, too, that he's a misogynist.
Butthurt? Head in...the...sand? What the fuck are you talking about?
Eh, who doesn't routinely engage in adultery. AMIRITE FELLAS. But seriously, do you really want to be the guy on MLK Day to point out that he cheated on his wife? Fuck you.
"Too Black" on the air? Please think about what you are saying. "He should be happy that Black people are even allowed on TV. But let's keep it to an acceptable level of Blackness. Let's not be 'too Black.' " Too Black for who? The millions of Black people that watch him and talk just like him among their…
Seriously!?? You're black? Okay, okay, I'm trying not to be judgmental here, but just answer this question to yourself. Don't respond to me or this column or anybody else, because you owe us no explanations. But ask yourself, "Have I EVER accused a White broadcaster of being too White?" Not just at home inside your…
I kind of read his comment as using awareness of his usual cynicism as a tool to contrast how genuine and heartfelt reactions to Scott's death have seemed. Funny how you interpreted what came across to many as a decent remark as a sign of self-serving douchebaggery.
If you dislike his broadcasting style, fine. Each to his own. It does say something that the people who knew him best have the best things to say about him as a man.
I got to meet Stuart Scott as a college kid covering Super Bowl XL Media Day for our college radio station. Walked up to him, introduced myself, and he gave me pointers to how to actually survive in the radio/TV industry and what to do before I left campus.
Scott was one of the last, likeable personalities on HYPE. He never quite became the caricature that Berman turned into. He was never too cool or too hip for his own good. He was just himself, which turned out to be more than enough to endear him to millions of sports fans.
I usually get all cynical and annoyed by all the fame-loving losers who jump on the "good guy" bandwagon once a celebrity dies. But everything I've heard about Scott seems to indicate that he was a genuinely good guy who loved his job. So I've pushed my cynicism and annoyance to the side.
Proud to call that my hometown paper. RIP Stuart.
Basically the sports world's version of losing Robin Williams today. Just the way so many people have been broken up or moved to tears all day long with these tributes is incredible.
Or "One lump or two?"
Ah.... I disagree. No small talk. Just order, make it quick, don't ask questions, don't kiss up, move to the left, and wait to be served!
Else...... NO SOUP FOR YOU!
Absolutely shocking. Who ever heard of people in Florida having trouble getting into cars?
Fuck you right in the Prius? I would have censored that too.
They've been straying from sports for a while now, constantly covering this thing called "soccer." Utter nonsense.
