Don't be confused by the name of the school. It's a very highly ranked institution in a progressive enclave. Considering that the people you are referring to often don't even finish K-12, those aren't the people attending.

I really have a hard time wrapping my mind around it. You can wear their awesome outfits. You can learn their awesome dance moves. You can sing their music. Why with the blackface and the hair? Did they think people wouldn't recognize the songs without the blackface? WTF?

This is my all-time favorite book. When I was twelve I read my father's copy, which he got when he was twelve in 1944. I am forty-two now and I have read it every two or three years ever since. It never fails to surprise. I doubt I will ever outgrow it.

I read this as an adult when I bought it for some foster kids I was working with. I ended up buying another copy for myself. I still have it. I love it.
