I didn't really read much of that article but I love seeing all the Madeline love here in the comments.

I cannot believe what they did with Eowyn in the movies. Way to misunderstand the entire fucking prophecy. And while I loved Arwen in the books and had no problem with the love story, the character was horribly miscast in the film.

Hated that character and their relationship. Is she even in the books? I haven't gotten that far yet but somehow I think the show made her up.

But was this that great scene in the bar where she said to Mal, "Everything's going so well"? I love that scene. Did you ever read the script from the never-filmed episode 15? I don't know how legit it was but it had interesting things happening with Simon/Inarra and Kaylee/Wash.

Viva!

So glad you said that. I read about it in 2005. I get so confused by old studies described in the press as new. This is the second time I've seen this on Jezebel recently. I think they may need a new word.

This was my only real response as well.

Not to mention, thinks his genetic code is solely a "gift" from his father. So, you know, smarts apparently not a component of that particular code.

That's what I always say about Yahoo commenters, "they don't call it Yahoo for nothing."

Is that a bear walking around at the sixteen second mark? Can't possibly be.

Me too.

Mine were Day 2 Tampons, Day 4 CAPTCHA, and Day 8 Yogurt. Many of the rest defied any attempt I made to care.

I agree with every single thing you said except for the tongue. That fucking tongue.

Top wage in Seattle was only $17.50? Do you know if it had ever been higher at any point? When I left SF in the late 90s, we were making $27. This was just a couple of years after unionizing but before the co-op. I can't remember what it was at the time of unionizing but I think it was $24. When I started it had been

Yes! Totally.

That would be so expensive. It wasn't a strip club, it was a peep show with booths and mechanized windows and other features that prevent simply relocating to a bar with a stage. Considering that the show has been losing money for years, even if there had been a suitable location, it is doubtful there would have been

I worked there and other clubs for years. I think it is problematic to try to assign one motivation to all customers. As far as how they feel about women being paid to spend time with them, some appreciate the upfront aspect of that, some just don't have the time for any social/romantic/sexual interactions, some are

Yup.

This was my reaction as well. I stopped wearing make-up daily when I graduated early from high school and fled to the big city. Lip balm and sunscreen. That's it most days. That was twenty-five years ago. I'm forty-two now and while I might not get the amount of compliments I once did, I still get them. And I have a
