The GT350 motor is a kludge that Ford shoved into production. It has some great elements like the valve train and porting but the flat plane is nothing but a gimmick that only hurts durability. It’s 90% marketing wank. 

They’re the leader in HP/Liter in that market segment right now. It’s a nice engine but like the vast majority of 2 liter turbos they don’t have much character...but neither did their NA predecessors.
