Aside from the semi-annual front wheel bearing replacements, annual front CV-joint replacements, annual ball-joints, transmission replacements, broken rear axles and such (did not off-road it, by the way) .... I do miss my old ‘86 Eagle Sport Wagon .... 4-speed manual, red exterior, black houndstooth interior, set up…

I worked on the logistics/provisioning team during development of the LAV-25 at DDGM. Never really went anywhere for US contracts. Just a few entered service.

BMW E21 (320i, 323i) - How do you know when the fabric covered return fuel line (from the fuel distributor, back to the tank) is leaking due to chafing on the bracket above the right axle? The cars behind you start turning on their wipers and then drastically slowing and increasing following distance.

I’ve never been on one of these extreme cross wind landings that we see all the videos of, but I can only imagine being on the leading side of the plane, with a window seat .... watching the runway come sideways at you ......
