This was something i enjoyed with my BRZ but my other vehicles are highly modified Toyotas that when i end up along side its twin, is an everyperson in a stock car that doesnt share the same twinsy attitude.

This is the correct take. So far there have been two Tundra’s make it to a million miles on original motors. Oh and some Lexus too. This, not as impressive.

Its burning the fuel efficiently. Like how a diesel doesnt always billow black smoke.

White = steam

Making the 850 mile round trip this weekend to see it start on its return trip east. So pumped!

The transmission would slip before it exhibited a pitch-up characteristic that varied from the manual version of the car.

I’ve got them by the balls in a legal sense ;)

With enough WD-40, maybe.

Lets be clear here, i was refering more to the state of his fleet of vehicles in front of his house, not him as a person.

Could be like my HOA who refuses to hold annual elections to potentially dethrone the boomers.

I love cars and wouldnt want to be David Tracy’s neighbor.

To think that this thing sat in a showroom next to this at the same time...

That was glaringly obvious in that lead photo. Makes a horribly argument. Even spent extra for the custom license plate.

This is the best take. Anything he buys that isnt the Toyota is just an attempt to be edgy or different, but not a decision based on logic. I am extremely Toyota biased, as i own 3 of them, but i have 480k miles between two of them and they are still kicking along on their original drive-trains with consistent

It is more comfortable than laying on the ground for one in any weather situation. Also, in my case, i store all the bedding & pillows in the tent so i dont have to pack them in the truck. Pop the top in 30 seconds and your bed is already made and ready to sleep in. More time to relax and less time building your house

And to think the SR71 predates the computer modelling era as well.... This thing is almost tempting enough to drive 350 miles to see it move next week. Damn.

I recall test driving one a few years ago, and it wasnt terrible.

Natural erosion is a non-issue. i look at the wave of UTV’s whose tires undercut ledges, dig deeper holes and due to their throttle happy operators (broad paintbrush based on my own anecdotal experiences) exponentially erode away a trail so that within a few years, trails can become impassable without a machine that

As someone who is always out “wheeling”, it is very true that it can be hard on the environment. There are plenty of ways to mitigate our impact but some trails just see so much traffic it accelerates the erosion. I find this most notable in Utah these days.

The documentary on Netflix is worth the watch. It was absolutely hilarious watching them create experiments that were designed to prove the earth was flat, but ended up proving the earth is round each and every time.
