Out west. At elevation, you can run a lower octane fuel so we have 85 as an option. On my Dodge’s 318, it runs on it smooth as silk on the cheap stuff. Alternatively my Tacoma should be able to run 87 at sea level but even where i am at i run 89 to prevent pinging.

That is fantastic! Should i assume thats wheel HP? And why does it start @ 3k RPM? Do you have data for the lower RPMs? One thing i see is the torque dip, which mirrors what i found in my last D4-S engine in the BRZ/FRS.

Its not bad with the manual. Have you found an overlay of the 3.4, 4.0, and 3.5 dyno sheets? i would love to see how they actually compare.

If you wait, it’ll have the 3.5l v6 in the next gen i bet. Some people really dislike that engine. I dont. But mines mated to a 6spd manual. Clearly that wont be an option with the 4runer.
