What about a super Oldboy movie?
What about a super Oldboy movie?
I refuse to take anything a Disney adult has to say seriously.
Not sure how intentional it was but I liked how they made Loretta’s little aside about Little Shop of Horrors since the movie version of that hit musical (which I loved as a kid) featured a young Steve Martin as the minor villain character.
He’s 100% talking to a plate of cookies. Came here to say just that.
I’m pretty sure Rudd is talking to a cookie in the video, listen to it again “you shouldn’t be here, GO! no you’re just going to sit just there, acting all sweet, you’re bad” I’m guessing he’s talking to a cookie that may or may not be poisined
What a spectacularly bitchy post.
He does pretty much all of his sound design and mixing himself!
I thought this episode was hilarious. It’s all over the place, and that’s ok. Lazlo at the sports desk had me cracking up. Nandor De Laurentitis? I mean, come on. That’s good.
David Lynch does it so much better. Better drones, better ambience, dialogue you can hear.
I bashed Nolan today already, but if you can’t deliver intelligible dialog and understandable plotting, that’s your failure as a film maker, not the audience’s for not getting your fucking “vision” or whatever. All it means is that your ambition outstrips your ability.
We really need to stop saying this kinda shit because even though we are talking about terrible people there is no need to insult them with the comparison. After all, the Nazis were at least classy mass murdering assholes. And say what you will about Hitler but the man did kill Hitler. Trumps only taking out Trump…
The reviewer bumped up the grade a letter because the intro didn’t use A.I.
The entire CC run is worth it for “The Late Philip J. Fry” alone.
I’m in the weird minority where I think I like Bender’s Game the best of the 4 movies.
Lets hope so. I really likes GOTG 3 but all the fun of that was kinda over shadowed by all the animal abuse.
It is an interesting bit of nuance that not everyone outside the industry quite gets. For as annoying as they can be, studio execs have traditionally been a mix of pure business bros and film/TV enthusiasts who happened to be good at or educated in business matters. And the mix *tended* to favor the enthusiasts. Yes,…
She’s a surfer and she’s not allowed to surf with men or post photos in a bathing suit? Are you kidding me? That goes way beyond boundaries. He’s asking her to change who she is so he doesn’t feel insecure.
THIS!
Stan did his best work with Jack, Steve, and John.
Jack did his best work with Stan. Steve did his best work with Stan. John did his best work with Stan (but also with anybody, because he was John Romita).
All of these dudes were essential ingredients in the magic of the finished product.
What’s kind of funny is that now when I watch something like Jurassic Park, I’m blown away by the practical effects. There's something to be said for using a mix of both.
