curiosity and a love for tinkering made me try out redhat 6.0. after using it for awhile i started to love the customizability of every part of linux (kernel, desktop, software, etc.) and the free as in beer & freedom aspects.

Hopefully all of the Vista lockdown stuff will drive more people away from Windows and over to Linux & even OS X (not a fan).

The OTR plugin for gaim works great. It encrypts all incoming and outgoing messages and if you have logging turned on, it leaves the message encrypted in the log file. The OTR system can also be used with the AOL AIM client if you do the OTR Proxy.
