He had an outstanding 20. I believe he was pulled over because he had air fresheners hanging from the mirror. None of this adds up to a shooting. For those that say he was fleeing, Tenn v. Garner states that it is a violation of the 4th Amendment to shoot a fleeing suspect unless the officer can prove that the suspect

“The clip notes that, despite the fact most people think their eyes are only off the road for a second or two at a time, people are checking their phones or playing with their infotainment system for an average of 4.6 seconds.”

I tried to point that out to my daughter when she was learning to drive. “See all these people drifting around in their lane? They’re on their phone and think you can’t even tell.”

This will have no effect. People’s ability to convince themselves that they have super mind powers is maybe only breakable after they kill someone and go to prison and have time to think that they might have screwed up.

Because it’ll be so difficult for the cops to bust you (and you’d have to give zero fucks to get busted in the first place), the penalties should be steep from the onset. So, throw up PSAs, signage,  and have the warning replaced with $500 and a point on your license (another point or two for the second offense). But

Thank you for your incredibly condescending reply! I’m sure it is a truly incomprehensible concept, but we both have excellent credit, are in the process of signing paperwork on a house we purchased with more than the standard 20% down payment, and still had the money at hand for a goofy purchase like the Suburban.

Am I the only one who got excited for a Lexus NX with the 4.6L V8?  I mean the IS500 motor would be better, but V8 in a small car is always good.

Well, TIL you called my favorite race car driver “human driftwood”, so what I want to know is why.

I've been very conscious about being a respectable Long Boy driver! The tow mirrors also give very great visibility to the rear so I can see just how close I am to people before I start moving

It looks how A Really Large Thing should look without being excessive. It looks functional and is also comfy as helllllllllllll inside.

Thing is, except for being like a block long, GMT400's have utterly normal proportions. No one would call them tiny, but they don’t tower over other cars the way modern trucks do. They’re also perfectly modestly styled - it’s not an afterthought, but it’s purposeful. I am supremely jealous of that truck.

I worked for Hughes when this all happened. There were some great things started (maybe not done well) that made sense. The brought a lot of our System Engineers over to the automotive side where they could help. They brought some of our Optical Engineers where they get the first Heads Up Displays going in cars, they

I’m kind of amazed there isn’t a market out there for tasteful enthusiast vanity plates!”

A Lotus Kit would be around $7k or more, so if you want a Lotus 7, this is a cheaper starting point than getting a kit.

Everybody is so grumpy on a Friday.

I’m not sure why I would buy this vs just getting a kit myself and building it out in my shed?  Just looking at that engine shot give me a bad feeling it’s hiding a mess of issues.  Whoever does buy this, for their safety, I would go over everything twice and look for any broken or out of place objects...the word

Looks like you lucked out on the tires, no obvious cupping and it sounds like there aren’t any issues.  Good deal.  Did you get a chance through throw some grease at the slip joints?
