Suikoden II, pretty much without a doubt. The first game was good, but the second was so well done that it surprised and remains I would argue one of the greatest JRPGs to date.

Yeah, all projectile invulnerable moves go through Aegis Reflector. I’ve been hit by ex cannon drills, shoryukens and more. The only things its guaranteed to block/reflect are projectiles and normal attacks.
