@spaceStationScrewball: The problem is that Hiren BootCD is considered a warez, as it uses commercial softwares with licenses that you don't legally own.

About the "Don't experiment on your main PC" part, I would also suggest using Sandboxie to test potentially damaging softwares. It is also less resource intensive, and you would see the exact behavior of the application on your current system state.

If it's only about eyecandy, I don't care. If it actually enhance gameplay then maybe, but not at all cost.
