It looks like this series builds upon Denis Villeneuve’s version, but I’m less clear on his actual involvement. Was he a producer? It sounds like he was originally supposed to direct the pilot but backed away to focus on his movies.

I left this open in a tab yesterday and forgot about it. This morning, I scrolled straight to the news items without rechecking the premise and saw “Robert Redford in THE NATURAL” and thought they were making a legacy sequel to that movie!

The Spider-Verse introduced so many Spider-Man possibilities, it’s weird that SONY has decided to focus all their live action resources on D-List Spidey associates and villains. A noir Spider-Man starring Nic Cage would have been a lot more interesting to see than Madame Web.

Gere’s still got his leading-man looks.

Saw a trailer for this movie and was intrigued enough that I bought a ticket for this weekend.

set in the universe of Dunder Mifflin

Christopher Lloyd in Season 2 of WEDNESDAY??

HAHA, it doesn’t really call attention to itself in Fantasyland. You can see a scaled/forced-perspective tower. And there are lots of little details around the area.

That’s okay — us Disney World fans already have our Tangled-themed bathroom, which is PLENTY for us!!

He’s probably the most professional “movie kisser” in the business.

I hope Furya crosses over with Furiosa.

It’s hard for me to wrap my head around the idea of X-Men and Avengers not being on the same team.

I know that “Planet of the Apes” is whole IP and they’ve gotta squeeze that into every title for the brand recognition, but it does feel wordy. “Kingdom of the Apes” feels like it would punch harder. “Empire of the Apes”.

Andrew Kevin Walker posted about this -- his involvement is what’s got me interested in this project.

I am intrigued that, after some initial uncertainty, the show should connect to this upcoming movie. It seems insane to me that it wasn’t set up like that from the beginning (when the showrunners initially had no knowledge about what the movie people were doing), since the main reason people have renewed interest in

IIRC, the toys predate the comics. I think the earlier toys may have come with tiny comic books packed in to help set up the characters, since kids didn’t know who these characters were. Superman has definitely appeared in that universe but I don’t know how consistent any of that is. I think the comics don’t

I hope it’s good. I hope it’s well-received by critics even if it doesn’t make much money.

I used to imagine that Pixar could make a cool Legend of Zelda movie — but they’re a bit all over the place.

Happy Deathday 1 & 2 are wayyyy better than they have a right to be. Chris Landon is a talented nepo baby

Moving Kraven the Hunter into the holiday season is clearly a ploy to keep it fresh in the minds of Academy voters. This movie must be sensational!
