Remember when you could meet your loved ones or special others at the arrival gate but if you arrived early you could go outside and watch the plane land from a viewing platform... how old are you Erin, 20? Go post this article on tiktok and wonder how us pre-milenials survived prior to your birth.

Imagine not remembering that this was the way it used to be.  No one went shopping at the airport then, they wont do it now.  It just means that people who are stuck at the airport have to suffer less.  If means you can meet people during layovers for lunch or shopping.

Am I just getting old that this seems shocking to someone?

Not a coupe.

This presumes a vaguely functional government which would use that extra money to fund things that really help that poor student out (healthcare, free or nominally charged education, daycare for working families, etc etc), while also improving public transportation.

Unfortunately, if you can afford a $90K pickup, you can usually afford to fill it. Higher gas taxes impact the low wage earners disproportionately more.

That’s a Beetle.

They are actually incredibly cringey to see in real life, and essential equipment for all the neck tattoo guys at my gym.

angry jeep eyes are dumb. about 30% of the jeeps in my area have the angry eyes grill kit and punisher logos. it’s like playing “spot the racist!”

Man, World in Conflict was amazing... I suck at RTS games, but on a more tactical scale I’m pretty solid...the way they switched up the RTS formula for WiC made it a perfect game for me. I still have my Collector’s Edition, with the “““certified authentic”” chip off the Berlin Wall. 😏

We need to evaluate new nuclear power technologies, and fund further development of safe (a relative term) reactors. This technology will scale better in at least the near term than storage tech. We (the US) also need to completely redesign and rebuild our grid. Our grid needs to be more efficient at shunting power

Build X solar array to replace Y natural gas plant... except at night, or when it’s overcast... This is part of the problem that the UK has been having — their wind and solar generation has tanked, forcing natural-gas plants to make up the demand, and the reserves are low, so they’re scrambling trying to buy more,

Solar, wind, tidal, or any of the other renewable energy platforms are already producing enough power to handle the increase in demand from EVs, even though the demand really won’t be very significant.
Even if there’s an increase in power consumption then I would venture a guess that this plan will bring forth some

The only obstacle to a fully renewable energy grid has *ALWAYS* been members profiting from the status quo. We had the means to start weening ourselves off fossil fuel half a century ago. Propaganda and political stonewalling created by the owners, operators, and profiteers of fossil fuel kept that from happening.

Any of the 88-00 Honda’s & Acura’s and the entire run of S2000.

Cadillac XLR. I know, not really reasonably priced or even all that great. But it would be scary to own one knowing that burning out a tail light could pretty much total the car.

Pretty much all the RX-7's. The values have really shot up recently so what ever is around now will be restored and maintained. Previously a lot of them would have just been junked or parted out.

Double-wishbone Hondas - Integra ‘86-’01, Civic ‘88-00, CRX ‘88-91, Del Sol ‘92-95. We just need interior/HVAC parts and B-series drivetrain parts.

I know they don’t exist anymore but SAABs, especially the 900.

That’s cool about the AE86 parts, but good luck finding the car itself.
