Yeah I’m having trouble believing this too. Just looked up the spec compare and the i5 is a *little* bit faster at single threaded tasks, but the i7 is faster at multi-threaded and everything else is about equal. I think they are only excluding it based on age, not on actual performance which seems to be comparable.
