Yeah, I mean I’d rather the resale market wasn’t a thing so they could sell them at reasonable prices, but I’d still rather Nvidia made the money for the cards selling that high than scalpers do for literally doing nothing

I hope that the idea is to get a feeling of the level of interest in the design, and if it’s big enough to actually produce a production run for sale, because this design is great.

Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Series X/S versions WERE the drive behind the optimisation.
This isn’t a question of Quick Resume not working, it’s more a case that the games methods for measuring time played were likely designed before Quick Resume, and so are likely judging tie played off of the consoles internal clock rather than some in game timer.
Andromeda’s one was also fun, but I’d also take the ME3 one over it anyday.
I find that any given time and place I play Xcloud, it either works flawlessly, or it’s too screen teary to play at all. Usually Wifi related I think. Ultimately, I think they’re planning on getting the tech ready for when they’ve finally caught up with Demand for the Xbox Series X/S, and can start producing excess…
The digital trade in thing was the one unfortunate casualty when MS reversed their always on policy.
Well it’s basically a numbers game. MS are first and foremost a software company, and while the move to a subscription service is technically a gamble, it’s one that could theoretically pay dividends.
There’s also the face that the Xbox Series X is back compat with alot of games from their previous 3 generations of consoles, numberous of which are not on PC, and also adds performance enhancements/HDR to many of those titles, essentially making it the best place to play alot of legacy games.
It’s a war set during living memory where you will be playing as one of the sides. No matter what you do, it will be a political statement. Even trying not to make it a statement is essential a statement in and of itself.
Yeah, this is why the financial markets need more regulation not less. The markets can be a powerful force for the economy, but when humans get involved with something, they INVARIABLY will try and find a way to game the system and twist it into something else entirely. Greed and stupidity will always win out unless…
I believe cost of entry was ultimately their point. Not so much that Gamepass was the ONLY place it could work, but that because Gamepass essentially lowers the cost of entry for players, it would be a perfect platform for the game. The same would be true is Sony just released it for free on PSN.
And Ori was robbed of the Best Score, though FF7 remake did have a fantastic soundtrack, so it’s hard to feel too bad. It was a STRONG year for soundtracks.
If you read the full post, it seems like they’ve been avoiding crunch all along, and are going to continue to do so.
There are TVs that can do 4k 120hz. I just picked up the 55" LG CX OLED that can do it. Got it on sale for £1399. The thing with monitors is that they’re smaller, and so the pixels have to be smaller to achieve the same number of them in a smaller surface area of the scree. So that ups their cost higher than you might…
Nah. They’d have to pay Sony a 30% commission if they did, and there’s no way in hell they’re doing that.
Genuinely? Bloody hell. Which ones?
I think they will in the long run. They’re just taking it one step at a time, starting with phones. Which makes sense, lower resolution looks prefectly fine on phones so it’s a good place to start, and the mobile sector is the largest part of the gaming industry now.
True, but there’s ALOT more money in gaming than in Anime. I can see them sticking with this for alot longer than anime strike. Even if it take 2 or 3 years to flop instead (which ultimately I hope it does, Amazon are very much become too much of a monopoly)
