So...in a bizzare coincidence, this is the Lusso guy that passed me and nearly ran me into the wall while I was just on vacation in Italy. I rented a sweet little Abarth 595 (this is the only thing you should rent in Italy, great deal from Avis) and we thought it would be fun to go hiking. On the way up, this dude…
I remember trying to get my father to buy one of these used in the late 90's....nope....another Mustang instead. I'm surprised anyone in our town survived.
So dual headlamps is not being a purist but using the oval headlamps from a Ford Taunus (also Lamborghini 350GT) and saying that they are rectangles is?
no love for the Pininfarina Rondine?
I live in the upper west side and have an old XJ-S too! Nice to see another fellow NYC-overheater lol

As a fellow XJ-S guy, I've been scared for the future of that car. Do we know what it's current situation is?
Because of course it's in Atlanta
On the sedans the umbrella is in the door...so it’s novel until (from experience) anyone closes the doors with the umbrella not all he way in. BIG DENT on the door. Not a fun story.
Tyler, thanks for a great read as always! Ever thought about writing up an article on the Dawson’s Field Hijackings? It’s pretty fascinating and no one writes about it...no one was injured (except some awesome machinery) and it really affected geopolitical relations.
100% agree. ...but I live in Manhattan and cash is necessary here :(
and my post is still mysteriously pending approval.... how nice
Wanting them to be competitive and to go up against a 5er and an E is fine....them trying to attain that goal is great...but you shouldn’t come down on Maserati so hard in their first generation of such an attempted feat. This is something they’ve never done before. I mean, Merc and BMW have been chucking their cars…
While there are definitely some tales to be heard and bad practices out there, I feel like so much of this website is fanboying to dealer hate stories these days. It’s just aiding the negative perception of the industry in it’s home community...like glorifying the negative.
hey thanks! I'm in the NYC area, let me know :)
I own a 2006 manual and they’re actually pretty hard cars to sell. I’ve been trying to find a buyer for mine for like 4 months and there’s just not a huge market of people that want them. Lately I’ve been considering trading it in for a new M235i manual
