Sure.. that’s true. There are levels of errors. I’d say this:

Yes. The implied message is that being “too tall” is an insult for a woman... any woman, not just this particular woman.

When someone uses physical attributes to demean a particular woman they are essentially demeaning any woman who has that particular attribute. There is an implied message that the attribute is an insult.

Posting breaking news even 5 minutes after a competitor’s site posts it could mean loss of readers (and money) because in today’s market promptness on unfolding events supersedes accuracy.

I think to stay competitive, the staffers are likely encouraged to post breaking news like this in a flash and instant... So something like this, a report that occurs soon after the actual story, is cooked up and published quickly before undergoing the full writing process.

On point #2..

Actually... my high school Brazilian students considered themselves Americans and considered Brazil one of the Americas. Me, I kept forgetting to say “U.S.” rather than America. They see America as South America, Central, and North.
