Im glad Rihanna spoke up and that there was a swift response. Not cool at all that Snapchat did this, and I’m glad they’ve encountered consequences that hit them in the bank. They wanted click-bait but it backfired.

Can someone at Jezebel ungray me? I’ve been visiting off and on for months and am still in the grays.

Some celebrities have a really long post-assault-predator shelf life. For years voices warned about Woody Allen, Roman Polanski... They continued to work because their artistic reputation was too powerful and the public was complacent and passive..and celebs in the industry too excited to work for him. Now, in 2018 we

“Wanna yank that cig out of his mouth. He looks like a damn fool.”

The OP’s premise is still true, like you said, regardless of the reasons for letting go of players.

Hollywood is both reflective and prescriptive of American culture. It mirrors the way we think and it also changes the way we think. I hope to see more diverse writers.. because they can dictate a new standard.

Great points. I should say 3 billboards was great for me 2/3rds of the way through. I just got so turned off and found the story less believable at the redemptive racist cop part. Also the guy thrown of of the window shows kindness to the cop who did it so soon after it occurred? That was also a stretch for me...

Phantom Thread looks boring but is actually really funny and dark.

I disagree. The mother is consumed with an unquenchable thirst for justice.. it makes her dizzy. She isn’t consumed by hate, but by justice for a victim, her daughter.

The fish isn’t a spy. However a Russian spy wants to capture the fish... because.. apparently the fish can be useful to the Russians or he can be a sort of weapon. But then there is a scientist who wants to save him.

I saw 8 out of 9 of the Best Picture nominations.

It’s awful he suffers through seizures, but why would he willfully put another human being in the position of losing consciousness... or cosign that message in a song.

True... and I have yet to find any teacher who wants this. Then again I’m in Maryland, but still... not one.
