Yeah, pre-K to eighth grade. That’s not unusual.

Something is telling you wrongly, then.

That’s funny considering that I acknowledged my privilege in my first post on this thread.

Good luck kicking that Zika, Kara!!

Why would I need an excuse to give my child the best education I can? If I were to send her to our local public school, knowing what a failure it is, then I would need an excuse. This, though? Completely comfortable in this decision.

It’s good to know that you consider child’s education to be “useless shit”. I’m not complaining about what I am willing to do for my daughter so you shouldn’t either.

I’m the four year old who needs to have the last word yet you are the one who can’t stop replying? LOL

Yes, I am one of those “rift raft” that are out of touch. As I have explained to the other bozo on this thread, I am speaking about ONE SPECIFIC school that I know very well. But, of course, if you know the school better than I do, please keep telling me what evils will befall my daughter.

Where did I say nothing bad ever occurs? Do you have a reading comprehension problem? I said I am certain that two specific things do not occur at a specific school. Do you know the school I am talking about? No, you do not. It’s cute that you seem to think you can say with certainty what happens at a place you don’t

Stating something outright, albeit incorrectly, is the opposite of implying something. You did the former, not the latter. You did not say all types of schools or schools in every city or state. You said, “those first two points happen at ALL schools.” Sorry for taking you literally when you were just trying to imply

I guess it’s good I’m not you then.

Excuse me for being hung up on one of the two things you claim happen at ALL schools. Just so you know, in the 12 years my daughter was at her elementary school, there was never one bomb threat. Tell me again what happens at ALL schools.

Yes, they are probably very good at covering up those girl-on-girl rapes!

My guess is that we’d be rich if I didn’t have to take a second job to pay the tuition. But good on you for assuming we just had it “lying around”

No, those things do not happen at all schools. Are you seriously suggesting that girls are raped in locker rooms of every school in America? How am I just reading about that now? And, yes, I know that my reality is not universal and that our district is not representitive of a majority of public schools. But, it is

You are, of course, correct. However, THIS school has none of that so I’m pretty secure in our decision.

Not rich by any stretch. And we live in the country, right at the edge of our terrible school district. It’s not a hellhole, just a corrupt district.

Is it worth it? Maybe. It’s worth it to me to not send my daughter to a school where girls are raped in the locker rooms, bomb threats are called in weekly, metal detectors and guards are at the doors, failing teachers and students and a 41%rate of kids going on to higher education.

I asked my kid about this saying, “Why would you want to watch someone else play video games instead of just playing them?” and she answered, “IDK, mom, why do people watch sports on tv instead of playing them?”

I mean, I guess the no photo rule can be bullshit but having been to museums that do allow photography and having seen people asking others to move away from a painting or exhibit so that they could get a clean shot of the painting (without others in it), causing crowding in the galleries, I think it’s a pretty solid
