I actually live in a quiet part of south Berkeley in a 1bed/1bath for $950 a month but I’m well aware that I basically won the lottery to get such a sweet deal. If I get kicked out of there, I’m gonna have to leave the Bay or consider signing up for a dorm like this.

I’m sitting here over in San Francisco thinking this sounds like an absolute steal.

I wonder if it would retain its shape if we replaced the water with vodka?

I’m hoping it’s so the radfems they introduced at the end of S2 can rip ‘em a new one.

It’s going to make it even harder to determine which character in the show is the biggest asshole, as they’re all gunning for it pretty damn hard.

Apologies, I’m English and was trying to make sure Americans understood what I meant, as a “scone” in America is some hulking triangular mass of buttermilky carbs. Also, was not aware that Scots called muffins scones!

Haggis on an English muffin with a poached egg is the breakfast of champions.

Planned an executed mine completely unassisted (groom was finishing up his PhD thesis which was submitted 2 days before the big day, so was off the hook) in 6 weeks whilst working two jobs, making arrangements to move 5500 miles away and selling an apartment. It was awesome and a great time was had by all. Weddings

Backlot tour at CA is now just over an hour long as they’ve added 3D tunnel things for King Kong and Fast and Furious.

And yet there’s still a show based on Waterworld at Universal Hollywood...

The Hollywood one is still like that. I went for the first time in 10 years last week and was a little bummed out that it wasn’t as coaster-heavy (it has a pared down version of The Mummy... that’s it) as the Orlando one which I regularly visit. Different strokes! Still had a great time, though.

I’ve tried a couple times and the monstrous cramping which resulted just wasn’t worth it. My stupid health insurance is grandfathered and doesn’t cover contraceptives (thanks, University of California!) so I REALLY don’t want to pay out another $800 for a new IUD if it does pop out or get expelled in response.

Digg did a great investigation into “Boneghazi” last year and people were trying to justify the practice by saying that it’s part of certain African traditional religions and therefore calling someone (especially a PoC) out for doing it is wrong.

Mine is the reusable kind but my GYN told me a truly horrifying personal story about how she pulled her IUD out with a cup whilst she was putting mine in. Fortunately I’m coming up to 6 months with the IUD and my periods are fading fast.

It has SLEEVES!

Preach! I loved mine until I got my IUD but now I’m too scared of pulling the IUD out with it to use it.

I’ve got such a thing for Ulysses S. Grant as he appears on the $50.

Bear in mind that there’s absolutely nothing between a PG-13 (i.e. a 12A) and an R, which means that movies in the sensible 15 classification that the UK has can sometimes end up in either PG-13 or R category, which makes it really hard to make an informed choice. It really needs an overhaul.

I would wear that dress until it fell apart, though.
