I definitely feel that the industry has improved in terms of its inclusiveness, but this is one aspect that designers seem to be really not budging on—they still are using homogenous-sized models on the runway.

:D

YES

Well, it is kind of hard to say, because there isn’t one static definition of supermodel. Let’s face it: the term has lost all meaning — Donald Trump actually has the audacity to call his no-career-having wife a former supermodel, and no one challenges him on it! — but yes, I would say that you need to be in the game

LOL “isn’t a model anymore” my (cat)ass. Yeah, Cara flounced harder than anyone has ever flounced away from the industry that made her (excepting maybe Jenna Jameson at the 2008 AVN Awards ... but that’s more sad than funny, nevermind), but when her stellar work in Pan and Paper Towns failed to make her a movie star

LOL, no one is denying that Jourdan and Karlie are supermodels. You cannot sneak em in with your Instagirls and then try to claim they’re all supes. Karlie and Jourdan have been around a decade apiece!

Janice has my heart, though <3

Gucci is having a moment right now. Let’s just be grateful it isn’t Vetements.

Ah, but Ri-Ri is on the September W, photographed by Steven Klein, so she wins! (then again, when does she not)

Well, my sincere apologies, then. I would expect someone who had to struggle to be a bit more peeved about rich kids getting over again, but not everyone is a bitch like me. ;)

I mean, THIS is why people are so pissed that Vogue — VOGUE!! — compared Kendall to Linda. They shouldn’t be comparing anyone to Linda! She is a planet unto herself.

Shalom was (is) magnificent. And also just a lovely person. Amber and Kristin are still killin’ it!

I don’t know you, but it seems like only someone who hasn’t had to struggle and fight for everything they’ve accomplished, only to watch children of privilege breeze in and take opportunities that they were working their ass off to attain, would be so blasé about these things. (pointing such things out is not “hate,”

have you seen that Instagram? it is everything

Bella has an entirely new face

You really don’t see what is wrong with the children of extreme privilege being given more opportunities over the equally or even MORE deserving/talented/hardworking, solely due to their connections? Nepotism and favoritism are perfectly OK and not to be questioned, because it’s always happened? And why are you using

I <3 U

Money and comfort can do wonders for your looks.

Marc Jacobs has always been a li’l zeitgeist-y so I’m not shocked by his support of Kendall, but Lagerfeld is just ridiculous in his old age. He blows with the wind. Also, Chanel is fucking terrible these days (and who cares about Fendi really).

I didn’t say Kendall was ugly (she isn’t, and regardless that would be rude), but to compare her to a legendary supermodel, a model’s model who was known for being a high-fashion chameleon ... it is a tad absurd.
