Yes and no. My 09 Silverado is not much shorter than its 4x4 brother. But its bed sides are quite a bit lower than its Dodge and Ford counterparts.

Their purpose is different in this game. The rebel players need to hold them to bring in Y-wings to bomb the AT-ATs. This brings down their shields to make them vulnerable to small arms fire and the speeder’s cable attack.
