“. . . IF Wall St./executives were not so thirsty for absurd profit levels . . .”

For clarity, they will NOT impeach! Republicans don’t want that stain on their reputation; and they won’t go after any of their own. Period.

He won’t be impeached. There’s no way the Republicans will allow that stain on their reputation (whatever that may mean). The 25th Amendment does, however, allow a President to be removed due to, say, mental illness.

Bannon sits at the head of the table? I’m not entirely surprised. But Bannon sits at the head of the table!?

Eh, I’m sure the marketplace will straighten it all out by itself.

He should have talked to me first. I’m, like, a smart person.

He won because nearly 70 million Americans weren’t “moved” by Hillary Clinton. Whatever that means. Americans now “think” with their feelings instead of their brains.

The only part of the economy they care about is the part that benefits them, right now. They’re engaged in a major cash grab. They could care less if the economy tanks once they’ve secured whatever it is they want (or become convinced that they’re immune to the effects of a bad economy).

“Maybe it will cause a rip in space-time and we can all be transported to a more logical world.”

My elders engaged in child abuse. They were shown respect via criminal prosecution.

Under the system that already existed, it could take YEARS to get vetted. But now a totally unvetted, mentally ill person living right next door to you can have guns! Don’t you feel safer already?

“they got what they deserve”

“At this rate, we won’t have a single ally left by the end of February.”

There were armed students at the Oregon campus when a shooter went on the rampage. It was not a “no guns zone” school. None of those students fired their gun and saved the day. I’m not saying they had to or that they should have. They said they were afraid; I don’t blame them. But the point is, having armed

I think liberals (I am one) should buy a shitload of guns. Guns guns guns. We don’t have to use them; I am not encouraging violence. I’m just talking ownership. That would send a considerable message. If liberals suddenly did a massive surge of gun purchases, and this was noted by the news, how soon do you think

To my knowledge, the 13th Amendment says slavery is legal if it uses convicted criminals: “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”

I’m hoping that even Roberts is appalled by this. He has shifted slightly to the left over time, as many Chief Justices have done in history. I sure would love for him to play hero right now.

As I posted elsewhere here, I’ve been voting since 1980. In that entire time, only once did I honestly feel I could vote FOR someone. (Obama) In all the other elections, I voted against someone. It’s just what life dealt. You’re voting for the best thing for the nation, not for the thing that makes you feel all

“Vote your conscience” also got a lot of people. That was straight out of the Ted Cruz/republican play book and got a bunch of people to not vote for Hillary. I’ve been voting since 1980. I’ve never heard that phrase in any election before this. Voting is strategic; “vote your conscience” is emotional. When we

Just remember (and I know it’s from a movie): They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with.
