All really comes down to how addictive a personality you have. I don’t use drugs in the manner you’ve described your friends using them, but I know that I could without developing a problem. However, I’m in the minority with this kind of stuff, and your friends may be as well.

Prescription stuff definitely works. I have no faith in Abreva / OTC topical stuff after like, 10 years of dealing with these suckers every time I get sick or run-down. I only get a couple a year, but I’ve definitely had my fill.

Me too! It’s really embarrassing but I keep 2 emergency Valtrex in my purse for this exact reason. I guess I meant the topical, over-the-counter stuff never works.
