I won’t say who I work for, but this is absolutely standard practice.

It takes a week to fully heal and go away, no matter what you put on it.
I totally get it. Just taking out my rage after seeing one too many people make apologies for inexcusable behavior under the guise of the perp being “mentally ill” (cough Rachel Dolelzar cough) . . .
For the last time, racism is not mental illness. There is absolutely nothing about this kid so far that points towards him being mentally ill. Being racist, full of hatred and willing to murder innocent people does not automatically make you mentally ill.
Don’t hate being Team Tattoo Artist, I always am. 60% of walk-ins don’t know shit about getting tattooed. They need to educate themselves.
That is the actual definition of trans-racial - it is something that happens to children who are adopted into a different culture and raised with that cultural frame of reference. However, that is NOT this woman’s situation. She wasn’t raised by black parents. She grew up looking and being treated as if she was white.
Race may be illusory, but the experience of living as one race or another within a certain society is not. When we think about race, it seems so intangible, until you consider the very real-world affects of being black in America today. This year alone. Murder is not intangible, the cost of being black in America is…
I think the main difference people would draw here is that your racial heritage contains several different cultures, so it’s understandable that you would sometimes feel more one thing than another, and that that might fluctuate.
They are liable in a moral way. If a client comes back to you and tells you they can’t get hired and they really regret the tattoo you gave them, that is some serious guilt you’re taking on.
This is tantamount to a plastic surgeon refusing someone’s request because it’s harmful to their health. The artist didn’t say you can’t get a tattoo on their neck, they wouldn’t do it beause they didn’t think it would be in your best interest. As the individual providing you a service, that’s their judgment call to…
If it is, honestly, it was money well-spent to have that dirtbag out of my life forever.
oh yeah, me too.
My ex kind of freaked and told me my marriage was cursed.
EWW whatttttttttttt.
On a positive note, I have an ex like this too and he did not do anything to ruin my wedding day. I had the same crazed thoughts / nightmares. So sometimes worrying about something like this really is just a worry. Try not to let it get under your skin. I hope you never ever see him again.
whoa. consider my mind blown.
I don’t get the candy thing - I feel like airports don’t let you bring anything from outside that is edible or drinkable through security (at least not at JFK). You have to buy that stuff at the airport. That said, if you put THC-infused food in your checked bag in a similar shopping bag, then it ain’t no thang.
They are worse than Forever 21, because they don’t even knock it off at a cheap price.
They sell crappy designer knock-off clothing in polyester versions, basically, for over $60 an item. Also, their CEO is Sophia Amurosoawhatever who wrote that shitty book “Girl Boss”. All you really need to know, imo.
I ended up watching it, after reading all the comments, I didn’t think it was that bad compared to what else is on that show (which in itself, probably says a lot).
