I go in the opposite direction, I far prefer accessibility over immersion. I’m always happy for the immersion to take a hit for quality-of-life gameplay features. For example, in both Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2, the game still lets you fast travel to places where it doesn’t make any canon sense for you to be anymore…

To be fair, this Nyko dock has been bricking systems and killing their ability to charge for months before the 5.0 update. The thing should have been pulled from shelves long ago.

That’s just Nintendo’s standard patch notes: a majority of their games end up with the same style of useless patch notes except the Splatoon team which usually actually documents balance changes well.

They changed up the animation style for Sun and Moon. Honestly, I think it would be neat if they change it up every “generation” to keep things fresh. The Pokemon anime had looked almost exactly the same for 20 years, so in my opinion it’s nice that they’ve decided to experiment a bit.
