I think you may enjoy this game, it’s a huge sandbox environment to play, sneaking around cheesing the normal mobs, and figuring out how to solve the puzzle. There is always many ways to tackle the problem if you explore and “grind” some skill points. It is by far the most accessible game from the Soulsborne universe.

Which walls did you hit? I tend to farm and grind, so far I am still very early in the game and about to face two first bosses. Not once I feel that I was hitting any walls whatsoever. The game is very easy to get into. None of the mini bossess (I only fought 7 now) are too challenging and demanding. If you explore

From what I read, saw, and experienced, this game is way MUCH easier than Bloodborne when you first started. There is explanation everywhere, full practice for all the combo moves, and easy ways to insta kill most of the normal mobs. Mini bosses all can be cheesed so far... assuming you want to grind and farm a few

So there is no online co-op whatsoever? No NPC to summon to help you fight the boss? No trick methods to cheese? No grind and level up to make the battle easier? Git gud or sell the game back?

For me, “easy mode” would means you now have 200% more HP and can withstands 5-6 hits instead of the usual 3-4 hits. You now can damage the boss with 20-30% more damage boost and the Boss has 25% less HP. The battle would still be challenging for those who simply not very good at mastering the unique battle control

I usually go for “cheap” mode for those bosses, and there are plenty of tips and tricks for this. I like to over level my character to make it even “cheap and easy” so I can withstand 6-8 hits and still alive, plus maxing out Estus flask, and summon my NPC to help me, and then hit the bosses with “cheap” magic. I

LOL, but I am one of those casuals that invaded this game. I used to really hate the Soulsborne series with passion. I promptly returned my first copy of Bloodborne and was pissed at my friend from recommending the game in the first place. Then I discovered online co-op, the “easy mode” holy grail that is so hated by

If you look at the entire series, I think Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 are made to be way more accessible than the first three games in the Soulsborne series. I prefer the more fluid fast pace fight on those two games. As well as easy fast access and many many shortcuts on all areas, no more backtracking (looking at

Easy mode is already in the game - From Software never explicitly said there is this button you press to make it easy - but it is baked in the game from the get go if you have online connection and at least able to pass the tutorial area in Bloodborne to gain a few insights to summon your friend to kill the boss for

You do realize that many games are “learning by repetition” - that is the entire point of playing most of these video games. All classic old school games like Mario, Metroid, Megaman, Contra and Ninja Gaiden - are all known for its “brutal repetitive” mode. Pretty much most of action + adventure + shooter + platformer

What is “easy mode” to you though? I am curious because the entire point of playing Soulsborne series is to “learn by repetition, exploring and finding out areas by dying, and overcoming boundaries - plus being a detective piecing together the barebone story”. The entire game is literally enter a new area, explore,

LOL, I seriously had the same thoughts - and a little adjustment on quality of life could make the game a teeny tiny more accessible. Maybe Sekiro is that game. Though I think when you look back at Soulsborne series as a whole, it is a throwback on “how games used to be” - there is no “arrow pointing go here” - there

A lot of games now do come with “easy mode aka picnic aka noob” button, and that is totally OK. Some games are worth playing just for the story alone, and you should not have to be punished for this. It does not change the core premise which is “rich story” - it’s like playing interactive movie with some easy peasy gam

I think both Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 already “dilluted” enough to be very accessible to ALL players. Heck, Bloodborne has the entire first area as your BIG tutorial mode - but without hand holding and forcing you to “DO THIS EXACTLY” or you ain’t going anywhere buster! I really HATE tutorial mode on every games

For me, when it comes to game design - Nintendo is a master class on “how to make your game very accessible but will make you really work for it if you want to master it”. Super Mario Odyssey is a great example of this. The game has assist mode so that you can play it effortlessly but if you are bad at “mechanics” and

I can symphatize with you - I was like that too - seriously hated all From Software games due to not very accessible - and I just did not get it. So I can understand where you are coming from. I agree that a little quality of life adjustment could help the game to appeal to the general public. But I also don’t think
