Some great Tex-Mex with Los Lonely Boys!
I agree with you. STP always got tons of hate for being Nirvana/Pearl Jam clones, but if you listen to STP now, they really did some great stuff that was very distinctive.
In my humble opinion, this is one of the best Grunge songs from a non-Seattle band in the 90’s. Hard to believe that Daniel Johns is just sixteen during this performance!
Daniel Johns and Silverchair
Layne Staley’s other band, with Mike McCready tearing up the guitar solo.
Great stuff, Jonee, and what an amazing backstory!
The Toadies
The Zac Brown Band and Gregg Allman perform Midnight Rider.
Nice post, ejet! I always felt this was an underrated Zeppelin tune, and the footage here is great!
The wonderful duo of Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina.
Good stuff, Drunko, and great comments!
Former Steely Dan back-up singer Michael McDonald singing the Peg in Peg.
As if facing Gibson wasn’t terrifying enough, he wore glasses, but refused to wear them to the mound. So there was always that doubt that he didn’t know exactly where the ball was going. If you look at the old YouTube clips, you can see him squinting when he looked in to get the catcher’s signs.
See the glory...of the Royal Scam
My man Kingfish is playing at a Blues festival near me later tonight, so I think I’m gonna drag my sorry ass down to check him out!
Great cover and I love Slightly Stoopid! They’ve done some cool stuff with Karl Denson.
Big Head Todd and John Popper cover a Springsteen classic.
A catchy Yes tune that I’ve always liked from their 90125 album.
The only other performer that I can think of who brought this kind of amazing energy to the stage is James Brown. Hard to believe that Otis was only twenty-six when his plane carrying he and The Bar-Kays went down. So tragic.
