It’s been a while since I’ve watched the doc and I don’t recall if he was suffering from some kind of mental illness throughout his life. I know a lot of creative types don’t like to take meds for their mental illnesses because they feel it hinders…
I would like to think that they would have had enough self-awareness to realize that they needed a break to rest and get healthy, but that probably would not have happened.
