Nice post, Drunko! Don’t know if you recall, but we were having a discussion about Mick the other night. Not sure exactly what caused he and The Stones to go their separate ways, but he was/is such an amazing guitarist! Had it worked out with them, certainly his fame would have known no bounds.

I saw this Arthur Lee song featured in a car commercial today. My first thought was that it cheapened the song and the artist. But then I thought that it might encourage a new generation of music enthusiasts to tap Shazam and learn a little bit about Arthur, and if that’s what it takes to keep great music and artists

I know, Jonee, but hard core Lemmy? I think it’s just awesome that he loved them!

I have endured being ABBA-shamed for many years, however, ever since I read that they were one of Lemmy’s favorite bands I’ve felt this warm feeling of redemption!

Mick Taylor was/is so brilliant. So smooth and melodic. There are always two sides to every story, so I can’t be sure exactly what happened with Mick and The Stones. But it would have been interesting to see how his career would have progressed had he stayed with them.

I was a little hesitant before checking out this Bluegrass cover of “For What It’s Worth”. But after watching it I think it’s a version that even Stephen Stills would appreciate!

This tune is just so funky and catchy, and it has truly withstood the test of time!

The extraordinary vocals of Steve Marriott.

With all due respect to Jeff Tweedy, whenever I watch a Wilco clip I’m always waiting in anticipation for an amazing Nels Cline solo! The king of the whammy bar!
