Shuggie Otis wrote it, but the Brothers Johnson made it the song whose intro so easily gets stuck in your head!

Ah yes, I knew I heard the story somewhere. The doc “It Might Get Loud”.

I don’t think we’ll ever know what really happened to Kurt. According to the documentary, he had taken enough H to kill an elephant, yet he was still able to pick a shotgun up and shoot himself. That one seemed curious to me to say the least.

Kurt was always suspicious that Courtney was unfaithful.

Thanks Drunko. I believe it’s a very old guitar type instrument called a hurdy gurdy.

At one point he was in the Derek Trucks Band, The Allman Brothers and Tedeschi Trucks. I’ve never heard him utter a single word onstage. I guess he lets his guitar do the talking. I love TTB but they’re starting to get big and they no longer play the smaller venues that were so great to see them at.

Let us know if you find an answer!

Thanks, Jonee, I’ll check it out.

Great post Abe!

War had a cool tune called Me and My Baby Brother, but I don’t believe it referenced Vietnam. Good trivia question!

I always did dig this tune!
