There are 4 or 5 good music docs on Netflix right now.

Netflix and chill! What a great pastime!

The Swampers! Remember Skynyrd wrote a verse about them in Sweet Home Alabama? Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers...

They are obviously a great band but they never seemed to absorb the Southern rock sound into their music. I always thought they would have been more influenced by that genre, especially growing up in the heart of ABB country.

Great stuff, Mr. Erg!

Haha I actually laughed out loud!

Hey Abe, I thought I’d spare the rest of the group and use an old post, but I know you’d appreciate this. It’s the band I posted earlier, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, doing “Whipping Post” at a show last month.

Hey Abe, thank you for the kind words and I’m glad I’ve gotten to know you on DUAN.

I never realized how influential the Wrecking Crew was until I watched the documentary. Many of the bands whose hits we’ve all heard hundreds of times didn’t even play their own instruments on the studio cuts. They just couldn’t compete with the tight sound of the Wrecking Crew.

Hey Chinooker, I know you’re always looking for good docs. There’s one on Netflix now called Now More Than Ever, which is the story of the band Chicago. I enjoyed it and will probably watch it again.

Thanks, ‘Chud, I hope you had a great New Year as well.

I love the Faces, ‘Chud, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But this is good. Very different but good. Thanks for posting it my friend!

I never cared much for Steve Winwood’s work in the 80’s, but I think this song is brilliant.

Coldplay has become an easy target to goof on, but I still love this song from their early days.

Don’t miss that train!
