This is why I like p4. The pacing is much better than p3.

lol idk seems kinda realistic to me. Not all friends grow up to be hometown heroes. Also the characters aren't that old right? They're still in their early 20s.

I guess I don't disagree but I said they never meet in the core games, not that they never meet in cannon. Maybe that boils down to what people consider is a core or a spin off game. Only numbered games count as core to me, despite arena etc being in cannon.

story-wise, nothing. the games take place in the same world (modern world) but characters never meet and the stories dont cross over except for the spin off games. All new characters, enemies, story, etc.

if p3 and p4 are any indication, probable not much except being in the same world (in p4 you visit the p3 school/city and meet some p3 side characters). i don't see why they would change up this formula since the spin-off games are handling the crossover stuff.

you can start on persona 4 the ps2 game (also on psn/ps3) or the remake for the vita, persona 4 golden. People will say start with 3 but p4 is the most accessible and IMO has the best characters. P3 is pretty difficult and the mechanics are refined in 4.
