Because horsepower is really a measure of torque. The V8 makes more torque per revolution than the 2.7. As a result, the 2.7 must do more work to make up the difference. Unfortunately, internal combustion engines aren’t efficient, and most of the work ends up wasted in heat and exhaust.

I’m just baffled by all these teens having cars provided to them.   When did this become a common thing?

I refuse to suffer for 15 years in that car because I have a soul.  I’ll take my chances.  Also, I like Christmas.  Source: I own a Touareg.

My current VW is on 14 years and 115,000 miles. If the Golf lasts 1/2 of that for $15 grand, it’s still my choice for a commuter car.

I’d forget the iM and go with a lightly used Golf.....you can even find some CPO in the $15k range.

The last time BMW made wings was mid-1945.

And all but three of the races on the Cup schedule are ovals, where you get up to speed and just stay in top gear for the most part.  In such a situation, the number of gears probably isn’t that important.

For crying out loud, Porsche. Un-pimp ze auto.

400 GB on a chip the size of a fingernail. I’m old enough to be blown away by that.

A word of helpful advice: Don’t ever take them off. They look far too awesome.

Regarding the splitter wickers (which is a new term to me) that are removable with a wrench...wouldn’t that mean that virtually every part of a car is removable? You can take my doors off with a wrench. Do I have removable doors? You can take my engine out with a wrench. Do I have a removable engine? You don’t even

as done with the Supra as I am

I want to see one with mandatory front license plates.. because it’s going to look even stupider from the front.

Seriously, it looks like they designed the whole dash and realized they forgot a screen and just threw it on there.

This is exactly my problem.

why, oh why, are automakers insisting on throwing infotainment screens on top of the dash?  it’s the worst trend in car design these days.  if you can’t fit it in the center stack, rethink what you’re doing.  it looks awful and cheap.

I want to like it. I really do.

Here’s my 2 cents: a 250 Hp 86, with the 6-speed, three pedal manual, a 0-60 around 5 to 5.5 seconds, and selling for under $30k would make me forget the new Supra even existed.

Externally, there are a lot bumps and swollen glands that make it a mess to look at.  The interior looks like a very nice place to be, though.

Cool it looks just like it did yesterday.
