My family has gone through 6 VWs now (5 bought used, one new) and all have been supremely reliable for dozens of thousands of miles. The VWs = unreliable mantra is well established on the internet, but I just don’t get it.

Like many racing projects, it was built as a toy by Larry H. Miller so he could race his cars (he was particularly known for collecting real Cobras). As a business guy he tried to make it self - sustaining, but it was always a vanity project. I think I like it more because of that.
I actually thought the facilities were pretty good. There aren’t that many racetracks that have physical garages in pit lane, visitors centers and year-round grandstands...
I hope this means we get some big series’ returning there. It would be great to see Weathertech Sports Car again...
