Nathan Rabin did both The Phantom and Mystery Men in his original My Year of Flops column.

Well what I’d do in his place is rewrite the “Blade” one, by just find-and-replacing “Action” with “Superhero”. Next to no effort, and still get paid, right?
“... came and went at the same time.”
I’ve never tried coke, but you describe exactly my first hand experience with amphetamines.
He is British, but he lives in the US. Hence (I assume) the “Lost” part.
*Shudder.*
Deus Ex (PS2 version)
Ah, now, having said that; I’m playing the PS2 version, where they rebalanced the game so that the magic sword is less overwhelmingly powerful than it was in the original PC game. It’s still plenty powerful though with a few points in melee and in combat strength, and a lot easier to use in a full-on fight than, say,…
Very much from the early days of (non cut-scene) voice acting in video games.
Mean. Have an upvote.
Not really the name exactly, but my favourite “achievements” are from Fallout New Vegas: “A Slave Obeys” for killing Mr House with a golf club, and “Historical Propriety” for killing Caesar with a knife.
I wasn’t allowed to see it when it came out, because it was 12-rated (the first film rated 12 in the UK at the time, I think) and I was only 10.
J.C. wears a black trenchcoat and sunglasses indoors. Of course he’s going to get a sword at some point.
I didn’t know there was a Ni No Kuni 2 coming out. The original one is on my massive backlog* list, but it looks like a really long game, so might have to wait a while.
In something that actually fits in with this week’s theme for once, I’m still playing Deus Ex, [SPOILERS] have made it to Hong Kong, and kinda feel at least a bit bad at killing Anna in such a ruthless, gruesome way. Even though she is a murderous totalitarian.
That looks great. Exactly the sort of thing I’d love playing. And also a massive time-sink, so I’ll probably never actually play it, but it goes on the list.
I’m very, very slowly making my way through Deus Ex. Very slowly both in the sense that I don’t have much gaming time, and also in the sense that I’m really trying to avoid killing NSF people (MJ12, by contrast, get shot on sight). I’m currently underneath the airfield, at the point where it’s overtly clear that…
I wish I could give you more upvotes for Mitchell and Webb references. Sadly, under our new Kinja overlords, I can’t risk logging out to log in with my pre-Disqus AVC account.
YOU were in the grays?! My god, what has the world come to?
I’m not entirely sure, but in the meantime I recommend stashing 10 AKs with a case of hand grenades.
