Except for all those episodes where a pair of police detectives went around having to solve crimes. But no, other than all those times, its never attempted to be a police procedural.

Well yes, because its an adaption of Jane Austen's "Emma".
Between this movie, Empire Records and Party of Five, I had the biggest crushes on Neve Campbell and Robin Tunney in the 90s.
I've only caught one episode of Lucifer, so maybe I'm wrong in thinking that there could only be one Mike Carey written comic successfully "adapted" for television where they only keep the title and lead character, ditch pretty much everything else and make it a crime procedural.
Yes. You should go do that.
I've enjoyed Dresden Codak for awhile, but that Eisner comment of his was beyond stupid.
I am hopeful that Season 2 will open will the reveal of a striped cat with a cape in the new Kryptonian space pod. Or a white dog. Or both.
Yeah Joy had several great moments and scenes and lots of great acting (especially from Lawrence) but it doesn't really seem to DO anything as a movie.
After my semi-regular culling of singles and trades I'll end up with several milk crates worth of comics. The last couple years I've been splitting them between yearly sell/dump offs at the local used book chain and Christmas gift bundles for the swarms of cousins/nephews/nieces.
Wasn't Mary the flying one?

NEVAH!
As long as Cloud has a breakdown where they confess their love to Moondragon at some point its all good. Also Moondragon. Also Phyla Vell and Moondragon as an actual dragon. Also a pony while I'm demanding stuff.
Top 3 hrmm? Lets go with:
Shutter
Astro City
Monstress
You should try the movie version with Anthony Hopkins as Titus. So fucked up.
A Gotham version of Music Meister would almost be enough to get me to check out the show again. Especially if they got Neil Patrick Harris to reprise for it.
I tried out Killjoys, but found that I could not give less of a crap about the 3 leads or their dark, secret back stories.
You've obviously never watched feral baby packs down and dismember mule deer. Its a truly terrifying sight.
Scrubs did something about it for Carla/Turk's kid, though I don't remember much about how they handled it.
IDW's Angel continuation comics have a few Illyria specific arcs. Also Illyria & Spike stuff. I'm not sure what the availability is on there stuff now, either as trades or digital.
Just finished a generally adequate teen psychic murder mystery by Steven James called Blur. A bit too much Tell Not Show going on. And now moved on to Daniel Jose Older's Midnight Taxi Tango. Plus I zipped thru the first volume of Faith Erin Hicks' new the Nameless City GN series.
