Let’s test your theory.

First two words about this individual in the article “Accused abuser”.
It’s troublesome that the wight implied in introducing him this way overlooks everything else past this point. Another pleasant reminder that in death, you will be crucified first. May the author too be weighed by their mistakes before anything else

Everything about this is ugly. Thanks, Rich, for drawing our attention to this utterly marginal fucked up person who died violently/young and left a trail of damage behind him. There is no higher purpose than elevating his story to incite condemnation from the Jezebel commentariat.

Remember, the only people that truly benefit from Class Action Lawsuits are the lawyers.

Class action lawsuits piss me off. The consumer never gets anything meaningful for being screwed or deceived ($20 or so usually), the lawyers get millions.

Yet another person who thinks they’re too cool and radical to identify as bi, because everyone knows bi people are transphobic and wedded to the gender binary, etc. etc.

People don’t eat at McDonalds because they’re feeling like making good decisions at that moment.

If you had principles, you wouldn’t be eating there in the first place.

It is but, then again, it appears a NDA was necessary if this woman wants out of it to discuss things she only knows because he dated her.

TIL that the plural of anecdote is data. Maybe the reason they don’t get your order right is because they’re not paid enough to give a shit. The best service I’ve received is consistently places that pay fair wages and include tips in their prices. It sounds like you go to these places looking for someone to do

Because teachers are paid by tax revenue and no one wants to pay taxes.

“Johnny No Skills” will need to eat, regardless of how much better than him you think you are. If it’s not through gainful employment, it will be through government benefits or some kind of base income, which you will also crow he doesn’t deserve.

While I think American workers should stop telling each other they make “too much” and start telling employers we all make too little. This suburban Boomer judgemental bullshit has been helping to drive the class wedges deeper for decades.

Exactly, we’ve carved out sections of the labor market and deemed them undesirable, unworthy of well pay. Then we force the undesirables of society into these jobs. Then to top it off, we demonize these people for relying on government assistance, calling them lazy. It’s truly bizarre.

Why should someone who decides that serving others food is enough for them be penalized by making less than they can live on? Someone has to do it, there is a demand for someone to do it, why should we arbitrarily label some jobs as inferior and not deserving of pay they can live on?

Shouldn’t the question be why don’t we pay our teachers more?

Physical labor cant be done by everyone, and most people avoid it if given the opportunity. Its not valued highly because the people doing it are usually the most disenfranchised in society (not always undocumented) who have the least amount of power over their condition.
