I couldn’t get a car loan at all at any rate for my 360 or Corvette. I spent 2 weeks calling everywhere... basically got told if it’s over 10 (sometimes 8) years old they don’t finance. Or if it is not from a franchised dealer. Etc...

I’ll have to check it out, learning something new every day. You guys are opening my world up!!!

My mind is blown... anything over 8 years old I was told to go “pound sand”. I spent 2 weeks on the phone trying to get auto loan before I just gave up and went home equity. Can you tell me which bank underwrote your loan?

This is news to me... can you point me into the direction of any banks that finance classics and exotics? Perhaps I can make more sound financial decisions.

Well auto loan’s require full coverage. Which is expensive... The cars I don’t drive regularly sit in my garage with comprehensive only. Which is basically free. Protects from fire, theft... etc. If I want to take something out... just takes a phone call and a bit of planning. Since they can’t add collision same day.

Umm... I disagree. Home equity loan allows you to buy whatever you want, ie 1962 Vette... 2001 Ferrari etc. No one will finance those cars with an auto loan. Last home equity loan I took out was 3.5%. Plus there is no insurance requirement.
