I came home from Sheffield the day this aired!

What a yunt.

Takes an episode like this to remind me how incredibly prudish so many Americans are. Other than the zebra, that was a pretty vanilla sex party (as was Eyes Wide Shit, for that matter.). (Not a typo.)

Imma let you finish but Person Of Interest is Djawadi’s best score of all time.

Also, Sonya Cassidy is like someone made a Mara sister that actually has charisma and talent.

I’m up to episode 6 and I’m finding it interesting how most of the takes on the show seem to consider the alchemy stuff as flavour, some critics even saying it’s optional. But the thing is, if you know more than a little about alchemical symbolism, it’s not only very accurate, but at times blatantly in shot. Framings

DARK CITY

Feel like they missed a trick by having non-diagetic music inside the Filter: Howard’s scoring has been fine, but if ever there was a scene that didn’t need it, that was the one.

My one prediction for the season held out: they never touch on the fact that Diyoza, and likely many of the prisoners, is a Christian terrorist fighting a combination of nature-worshippers (The Last Tree), atheists and whatever the hell the various Krus worship. So much culture clash potential... well, maybe on Earth

Needs a Killing Eve crossover.

Many things I thought the coffin sequence could be.

AV CLUB

The cast is great (with the exception of Dominic Cooper, although given how much the show has managed to screw up Jesse’s character, it’s hard to blame him), and the production values aren’t bad.”

This also works as a review of the series.

Oh how I wish Hawley hadn’t fallen into that prudish American cable cliche of having a lesbian sex scene shot so blurry that you can’t see the lesbians, let alone the sex. Hannibal pulled the same shit, to equally irksome result.

Oh they’d better have my boy Byron back this season...

It is.

The specific story that covers this is the novella ‘The Churn’. Highly recommended.

*Ashford.

And a pleasure to see Anna Hopkins as Monica - loved her as Berlin in Defiance.

Yeah: suspected they’d go this way, and I’ll miss’em.
