The dolphin trainer in question was named Margaret Howe. The BBC actually made a documentary on it last year, "The Girl who Talked to Dolphins."

Thank you for posting this.

How jocks are perceived by the culture at large isn't something I can help with.

As a former jock I have to point out: it's not about being dumb, it's about being cruel. I got tired of my teammates picking on my "gentle little artsy friends."

My kids got me watching this show. It's unbelievably good. Hot Dog Water!

Fun fact: "Song Remains the Same" and "This is Spinal Tap" are the same movie.

Also at the time, Loni Anderson was a darling of the tabloids. She got with Burt Reynolds, and they made forgettable movies.

We must accept this man's mockery and stop liking the things he writes about. Good for us, good for his career.

Half man! Half man!

I respectfully disagree. You get them to learn however they can. And they'll remember it as one of the rare school occasions that wasn't tedious brainwashing.

The reunion movie was cute enough; Zelda had finally bagged Dobie, and the two of them ran that grocery store. They had a son. Bob Denver showed up and shouted "Work." Zelda, once again, was awesome.

I didn't like it. I wasn't good at it. I was made fun of for it.
