Really Turkey? Really? Was that *really* necessary? Looking at the flight track of the Jet, it doesnt look like a ‘Intentional’ cross into the border, or a attack mission into Turkey.

The adults are talking. Please go back to the kids table. You can come back when you understand how the real world works, and HAS worked for the last 70 years.
You are a nice person. My wife would castrate me, then take all my shit and drive around the neighborhood with it yelling ‘I have his shit’. I know this, because she has told me many times. :) Love her...
Makes sense, my guess is you have a limited window to launch the MIRV’s when you are on a ballistic trajectory as opposed to being orbital.
And the B-1’s which I think are still Nuclear certified. Either way, I dont think the cost is much to keep them Nuclear Certified. You could argue the cost of keep the free fall bomb in the inventory, but I believe it shares a common warhead with the Trident/Minuteman system.
Good writeup through that link. I assumed (not sure why) that the MIRVS seperated upon re-entry. Anyone know how far apart those targets can be for 14 MIRV’s? IE, can I hit Moscow and Bejing with one rocket, with a set of MIRV’s? I would assume not, but I wonder how far apart the targets can be.
A heavier handed threat. You cant fly a Nuclear Missile to the edge of someones airspace, and then turn it around. You can do that with a B-2 or B-52 and send quite a message.
No amount of electronics is going to make the f-16 stealthy. I love the F-16, and for the wars we are fighting, it's perfect. However, if you are looking to fight a war against a China/Russia and their more advanced fighters, the f-16 isn't going to cut it.
Okay, I’ll give you the fact that our politicians are idiots, and hence your statement is not in-correct. However, based on Mission profiles and hardware comparisions the F-35 is not a replacement for the F-22. Given we will have to few F-22’s because of the dolts in congress, the F-35 will probably be put in a role…
Yep. Hence my comment ‘No Combat Restrictions’. The mock battle with the F-16 was within visual range. It also didnt include IOC software and hardware from what I remember.
Are you saying it’s replacing the F-22? Because it’s not. Two different missions.
These guys are worse then my 5 year old seeking attention. ‘Im still here, look at me, look at me, look at me’.
They never needed it to begin with. A country that would *NEVER* go into contested airspace w/o the U.S. does not need a Stealth Attack fighter. They need more F/A-18’s...
The Radicals didnt just sprout out of the ground, they were always there. Inside of Syria, as well as Iraq.
Totally agree. I’m not sure why we cant learn that if you destroy a government keeping radicals at bay, that the radicals will take over. It’s really not that hard of a concept, and we’ve seen it happen multiple times. It really, REALLY boggles my mind what we are doing in Syria. I really wish one of the Presidential…
Maybe i’m mis-understanding you, but you think that ISIS or whatever that would take over wouldn’t be much worse then that? Assad may have used chemical weapons, i’m sure hes using barrel bombs as well. I’m also DEAD certain that any ‘government’ that would replace him would do much worse based on the players on the…
Like anything else of Russian origin, you get what you pay for.
Not that I don’t think they didn’t have the information anyway, it might have been helpful in the fact that it showed what our methodology was for laying out a cockpit. It could tell them things around what we expect our pilots to be able to do in terms of information processing.
Thats probably why he gave it to them. Something to prove he was capable, yet at the same time, nothing that could really harm us.
Aint true unless we have a picture. If said picture exists, then yes, please drop the Mic..
