I have a shitty Bay Area commute but I always look forward to Kai's soothing voice during Marketwatch. Makes the afternoon commute a little sweeter.

This picture is brilliant!
DAKKARRRRRR, Senegal!
Sylvia Poggioli (pronounced Pujioli). I LOVE the way she says her name.
I've decided Garrison Keillor is an absolute egomaniac. The length of time he sings & sing-talks and talks puts him on the same level as Chavez's 12 hour solo televised marathon speeches. Just the sound of his voice (or imagining the sound of his voice) makes my first/vagina clench in discomfort.
THIS ——- is Marketplaaaaaaaaaaace.
It's painful to listen to. I know she has spasmodic dysphonia, and I on one hand I admire her fortitude in forging ahead with her career. On the other hand, I hardly listen to it anymore.
I'm surprised no one has mention Ofeibia Quist-Arcton. I just love the way she says her name and "Dakkar, Senegal"
You folks have apparently never been to Tanglewood in Western MA. This is not satire
"It's hardcore soothing."
Oh, holy goodness. Ari Shapiro is beautiful.
Carrie Brownstein left All Songs Considered to work on Portlandia. Yes, I know that without looking. Yes, I saw Ira Glass at Harvard and almost passed out. Yes, I always hang out next to the NPR table at music festivals. I'm under 35 and I'm OK with all of this.
And THAT is why in my household we refer to Portlandia as, "That realistic documentary show, Portlandia"
He really has but he's also had his hands in tons of mainstream, big name acts as a producer for a looong time.
He seems to never age, in the same category as Paul Rudd. Maybe they are cylons.
For anybody who thinks this didn't deserve to win Record of the Year, just look at the effect it had on an audience of jaded music professionals. Very few songs have the ability to make EVERYBODY in the room smile and get up and boogie.
Listen, I know I'm obsessed and biased and whatever, but I'm just going to say it:
Yes, but how much do we really know about Daft Punk?
Pharrell had some year, didn't he?
Love them all apart and together. This made for a grand living room dance party.
