True, but being a parent does not make you a parenting expert. It makes you a [insert children's names here] expert. If you have one average baby boy who is 18 months, using this logic, you have nothing to say to parents of teenagers, parents with several children, parents who have children with disabilities, and…

I worry that I could not be a good parent due to depression. Also, it means that suicide is no longer a possible exit, and not having an exit makes me feel trapped.

If you are a parent, hopefully you do enjoy the experience for the well being of you and your family. However, many parents speak as if the lives of adults without children are worthless, and some then turn around and ask for help with their children.

Sorry to hear that! I worry about that, as it is already happened with my peers because I live in the Midwest. This problem exists, but it is less extreme in big cities with more adult transplants and adults without children.
