You’ve got a very special troll responding to you.

Oh, but Reince Priebus they can pronounce just fine.

Most people who have jobs have demands and stresses put on them. And in most workplaces yelling at your co-workers isn’t acceptable. Just because the job happens to be “actor” that doesn’t give him an excuse to be a dick.

Walters has also been acting longer than Bateman has been alive. If she says this behavior is the worst she’s experienced on a project then I’m inclined to believe her.

Hey, you’re the one that’s conflating every single negative take on Bateman into an “endless rage paroxysm of annihilation” without including any of the nuanced takes you seem to think you have (only mentioning the ones you hate without giving an example of one of the takes you like skews your argument to be heavily

Exactly. This won’t ruin Bateman’s career. Aziz is fine, even fucking Louis will probably be back in 5 years, Bateman can survive this. There seems to be a growing consensus that a man getting any amount of shit for his mistakes after he’s made an apology, no matter how half assed, is unacceptable behavior.

No one here is even assuming that she’s a ‘delicate flower’. In fact, quite the opposite. If a veteran, talented actress like her breaks down like this means that Tambor’s verbal abuse was brutal. That he crossed many lines with her and everyone gave him a pass for this.

But the fact that he publicly owned up to it, admitted he was wrong, and genuinely seems to want to learn from it should count for something.

She agreed to forgive Tambor after crying and having her male coworkers dismiss her. Nowhere does Tambor ever say, “I’m sorry, Jessica.” When you hear her “forgiveness” on the audio recording, it’s resignation that not one of her coworkers except for Alia Shawkat gives a shit about how much this hurt her.

I get what you’re saying, but I think acting like people being outraged on the internet is a huge problem for Bateman is disingenuous.

Good. More people need to be “woke” to not talk over women in meetings and to not ignore when they cry after being verbally abused at a job. Didn’t realize courtesy and respect was a new phenomenon.

“I was so eager to let Jeffrey know that he was supported in his attempt to learn, grow and apologize that I completely

I felt like Ms. Walter was under a tremendous amount of pressure to “forgive” Tambor, especially in light of how the men in the room were 100% behind him and ignored her pain. My interpretation was Ms. Walter did what she had to do to move on and keep the peace, an action with which women are too frequently tasked.

But she was a victim. She literally said that she’s never experienced the kind of verbal abuse Tambor laid on her in 60(!!!) years of her working life. That speaks volumes to how he treated her. Her decision to forgive him does not negate anything her did. Listen to the audio. The pain in her voice is so palpable.

The thing that bothers me about this movie is that Amy’s character views herself as “fat” and “not fit”, in the trailer during the bikini contest she has a fit stomach, It’s flat and Inthink she may even have a two pack, no she’s not a size 2 but she actually has a very fit body, and viewers are supposed to view her

I resent the fact that my little poor country in Central America, can declare elections as national holidays and are held always on sundays, provide free public transportation for the day, and offer free sandwiches and coffee in polling places. America needs to do better.

Save America: Never vote for a republican.

C’mon out of the gray with you, youth. We in Gen X are big fans of Gen Z’s work, and sorry you got one of the shitty generation names like we did. (Pre-Boomers are called Invisibles or Silents, so we’re at least slightly ahead of that.)
Thanks for remembering we exist. We’re all rooting for you!
ETA: Oh shit, you said

Seriously though, it seems even more telling that Dunham characterized his lines as a “massive insult of white women” rather than a fairly tame insult towards her character/show (and clueless hipsters like her) specifically.

A fb friend posted yesterday asking if anyone else wondered why these kids feel entitled to leave school. It totally threw me because of who posted it, and wth?! When I was in high school, we felt entitled to walk off campus to get high on mini-thins and have sex with our boyfriends. If my daughter wanted to organize

I didn’t realize how fucking delicious it would be to see Marco Rubio getting ripped a new one by his constituents, especially the teenage constituents. I literally swelled up with pride when watching them challenge him and Dana the gun lady face to face.
