I stopped playing FFXIV because all I wanted to do was play a Machinist, but all the new classes required you reaching level 50 on an original class and doing a bunch of story stuff before you could even unlock them.

Wait, seriously? I and all of my friends have been enjoying it probably more than any of the other limited time event modes. It’s so tense and exciting. I’m really surprised by this.

The guy who runs Dead End Thrills is a good example of how this is more than just “hitting print screen”. At the bottom of all his galleries, he lists the tools & methods used to capture the images. Really cool stuff.

No mention of Dead End Thrills in the article or the comments? This guy is the best in-game photographer around. He also lends a lot of credence to the idea that screenshots are an art form.

If the customer thinks the “point” of your game is different from what you think the “point” of your game is, you’re building your game wrong.
