Agent Iron Chef America

Yeah I agree he was referring to the duel. I think he meant to kill Rumple on the ship but by contrivance Rumple gained the upper hand. Hook has always been pretty cocky, so I think he went into that fight overly confident.

Yeah Hook could have easily defeated him, and I thought this was weird but I just chalked it up to contrived writing to keep Rumple alive because they're not going to kill off their arguably best actor on the show. I remember also that Hook said he wanted to savor the revenge and not just kill him quickly right before

Belle the Yellow One? Her dress is yellow when we first meet her I believe.

If Gorgon the Invincible doesn't rampage Storybrooke next weekend, I'm out.

Hook has hated Rumple for centuries. There's no way they would work together. He had to leave Excalibur behind because he's tethered to the sword and Rumple was in control of it. I don't think Rumple is going to throw away all the progress he has made in becoming a hero away just like that. He's come too far.

Couldn't agree more! If something happens to work, it's only because they somehow shoe-horned it in. Nothing seems to be planned out at all. They keep changing the rules as they go.

They never make it really clear what was happening, but based on recaps on other sites, it sounds like by tethering Hook to Excalibur, Emma made him a second Dark One. Merlin had just been tethered to the sword by Zelena previously. I don't really understand the logic behind it.

Oh just remembered that Merlin's powers transferred into Hook, which is why Hook became the Dark One in the first place. Merlin was defenseless basically. Still, not really a fan of the idea that Merlin's powers could be transferred so easily.

I believe it was explained earlier in the season that it's not the spirits of the actual people that were Dark Ones but the Dark One essence itself taking the form of previous Dark Ones, so Rumple is fair game.

Makes you wonder why she didn't just take his memories away again if it was so easy the first time.

That's true. I also wondered how he didn't have Imaginary Rumple in his head like Emma did if he was a second Dark One all this time.

I agree. It doesn't fit the established canon either (not that they seem to regard the canon much anymore). Rumple couldn't ever be killed by crushing his heart.

There were some signs of Hook not acting normal in Storybrooke, like him rejecting Emma because she's the Dark One. His characterization was sort of uneven before he got his Camelot memories back.

I think the idea behind his immortality is that he won't ever die of natural causes but that he can be killed given the right weapon. I thought they established like 2 or 3 weeks ago that he could only be killed by Excalibur

Yeah. It seems kind of silly that he would be able to anticipate his death but not be able to stop it.

I feel like Merlin shouldn't have gone down that easy. Isn't he supposed to be just as powerful as the Dark One? He's certainly a lot more experienced than Hook in magic. You would think he'd probably have some sort of defense mechanism against people taking his heart out like Zelena did.

Wow. Way to spoil a major death in Daredevil on a review for a completely different show. I realize it's been on Netflix for a while now, but that doesn't mean everyone's watched it all the way through.
