Yep that's definitely a Hyundai Coupe/Tiburon with some hideous body reworking (and first gen Hyundai Tiburon tail-lights).

The only car I've had with the auto locks are a 1990 Toyota Corona. Every other car I've had/got is newer and doesn't have it.

I personally don't understand how 147kw pushing around ~1200kg is considered slow. Seems like a pretty good balance to me.

Yeah, this has made me somewhat less confident in the visibility of my Lancer :(

I love it!

the front bumper isn't even bolted on straight

aside from the tail-lights, I think the One-77 is hideous so yeah, easily the DB5

Was about to post this. Seconded.

+1

They are essentially a starlet/tercel underneath, so nothing special. I also don't know if they chassis is anything to write home about as I've never driven one. Still, nothing stopping anyone from transplanting the guts of a Starlet Glanza V into it :D

There's something depressing about the WRX. Everytime I see a new one it just makes me miss the original, lightweight and simply styled model.

Yeah electric is the beginning of the end of the wonderful aural experience of the internal combustion engine. A necessary, but still unwelcome harbinger of the future of personal transport.

Overpriced? Not sure what prices are like in the US but in Australia for about $9000AUD extra over a bog standard Corolla/Lancer/Civic/etc you get a tuned chassis and viable track day car, ready for whatever mods you want to throw at it.

Gotta be out of Ari Vatanen, Stig Blomqvist or Juha Kankkunen

Normally I'd agree, and I'm skilled myself in simulating ABS braking.....on small 4-cylinder cars.

Fangio

I like that though. I must confess I have been really enjoying TGUS more than TGUK for the last few seasons. It's been much more down to earth than the UK version which just seems to keep trying to one up itself on ridiculous challenges and demonstrating overpriced vehicles.

I'd honestly dispute that given the amount of car ignorance Clarkson has spewed forth over the years.

I like it, but I'd rather just have an original 512BB for what, less than a tenth of the price?

Funny that the maligned Catera above is ultimately the platform that birthed this car. Opel Omega > Holden VT Commodore/Cadillac Catera > Holden Monaro > Pontiac GTO
